The age of heterogeneous computing has begun. Even, open-source laptop (Novena) with built-in FGPA and GPU are available.

In this context, CEN is arranging two parallel workshops for the would be M.Tech  students .  Details are as follows

1.  FPGA programming for the masses through OpenCL,   Logi-PI, and       Altera-FPGA
2.  Future of networking:   Software  defined  networks  and   NetFPGA

This will enable M.Tech students to do class-room computing Assignments in FPGA and GPU. For this purpose CEN acquired recently released OpenCL  (open Computing Language) compatible FPGA and   Logi-PI (FPGA on Raspberry –PI) . CEN(Computational Engg)  faculty have already published several books in the area of  advanced signal processing.
  For the forth coming  batch of M.Tech  students in CEN(Computational Engg)  and  Remote sensing and Wireless sensor networks,  this new initiative of computing in heterogeneous platform will give huge advantage in terms of opportunities in research and in  industry.  For Mechanical Engg students we are offering robotics and Additive manufacturing Electives.
