r/baseball HOF 1932 Election
Thank you for voting in r/baseball HOF's Eleventh Election. This election will run through Saturday 11/2/13 at 11:59pm Pacific time. Please visit and subscribe to r/baseballHOF to keep updated on the project. Our voting thread serves as a primer and discussion hub for this election. Please feel free to drop by and take part in the discussion. Let us know who you voted for and why. Do you have a favorite player who isn't getting the kind of support you feel he deserves? Let us know why you think he should be in the r/baseball Hall of Fame.

Please read and consider the following before voting. Everyone is welcome to cast a ballot in this election, but we ask that you do some research and read our discussion thread prior to voting. All players and contributors listed below are eligible for election. Please review our previous election results to see which players have been already been elected and which have fallen off the ballot. For those players who have fallen off the ballot, we will be instituting a Veteran's Committee starting in 1930 to give them a second chance. All players who receive at least 5% of the vote in this election will appear on the next ballot. For more information or to participate in the Veteran's Committee please visit r/baseballHOFVC. IAMADeinonychusAMA is going to be the commissioner of the new group and will have final say in all VC matters.

Please use the box at the bottom of the ballot to enter in any write-in candidates to be considered in the next election. All players who were retired (or essentially retired our precedent has been to include players who played in fewer than 10 games after the date of election) from the major leagues in or prior to the date of election are eligible, except for those who have already been elected to the r/baseball HOF. For the Contributor's Ballot, a candidate must be 65 years of age or deceased at the time of election. You can determine for yourself what qualifications a contributor should possess, but the point of this section of the ballot is to recognize those who advanced the game through innovations and excellent performance in management, ownership, writing, announcing, umpiring and any other non-playing capacity.

We establish no rules for what you ought to consider when voting. That is up to you. If you value traditional stats over the new SABRmetrics, or peak value over a long career, then reflect that in your voting and discussion. Simply pick the 15 players below that you feel are the best, most worthy candidates to be recognized in r/baseball's Hall of Fame.  We only ask that you do not consider a player or contributor's status regarding the real Hall of Fame, that is do not simply pick a HOFer because he is a HOFer. We are attempting to start our HOF from scratch to correct the mistakes made by the actual Hall voters over the years.

Contributors' Ballot *
Please select at least three, but not more than five contributors listed below, or add your own write-in candidates. To be eligible a contributor must be at least 70 years of age or deceased by Dec. 31, 1932. Those contributors listed below that appeared on ballots prior to 1922 yet are under 70 are grandfathered in after our rule change and still eligible.
Required
Players' Ballot *
Please select 15 players below. To be considered a player must be retired by the end of the 1930 season. Our precedent has been to include players that were essentially retired, that is, played in only 10 or fewer major league games for the rest of his career.
