The Cullowhee Native Plant Conference is pleased to provide the opportunity for students and beginning professionals to present their research. Topics should center around native plants, ecological restoration, botany, conservation horticulture, landscape design, etc.
One applicant will be selected to present a Lunch 'n Learn session. The winning applicant will be allowed a 40-minute presentation (likely on the Friday of the conference).
Selection Criteria
Proposals will be reviewed and selected based upon the following criteria:
• Unique, cutting edge or timely subjects
• Thorough description of the presentation
• Anticipated attendee interest in the subject matter
• Appropriateness for the conference, a general audience.
Materials
You will need to bring your presentation on a USB flash drive. A Windows-based laptop and projector will be provided. If you use Apple software, please make sure you have a pdf version of your presentation.
Proposal Deadline
Your complete proposal must be received by the deadline of sponsorship applications for review and consideration by the Program Committee.
Confirmation
The Program and Sponsorship Committee will review proposals and make preliminary proposal selections. An acknowledgement will be sent to confirm the status of your presentation proposal shortly after sponsorship applications are reviewed.
