Arts Festival Production Application

SITE DIRECTOR
The Boston College Arts Council is looking to fill the positions of ‘Site Director’ for Spring 2013. The Site Director will assist in planning production needs for the festival site – including staging, equipment, instruments, sound, lights, and all front-of-house needs. In addition, the Site Director will coordinate all staffing and volunteers for the site, and manage the festival schedule on-site and coordinate all performances throughout the festival. The Site Director will also oversee all activities at the site during the festival, ensuring excellent customer service to the audience. Site Directors should be proactive about solving potential problems and be able to assist in the event of an emergency. Site Directors will report to the Production Manager and Festival Director, and will oversee Stage Managers, House Managers, and festival volunteers.

Qualifications:
* Performing Arts experience required
* Sophomore, Junior, or Senior only

Dates:
* Mid-February through early May
* Work will escalate through the festival
* MUST be on-site for the full festival, April 25th – April 27th

Compensation:
* Hourly pay

STAGE MANAGER
The Boston College Arts Council is looking to fill the positions of ‘Stage Manager’ for Spring 2013. The Stage Manager will be responsible for managing the festival schedule backstage, and working with performance groups, emcee, and sound technician to keep the festival on time. In addition, the Stage Manager is responsible for managing the backstage area and equipment stored there, and to oversee stage crew. The Stage Manager is also responsible for ensuring good experiences for audience members and performers, and for ensuring safety for all performers back stage and assisting in the event of an emergency. Stage Managers will report to the Site Director, Production Manager, and Festival Director, and will oversee festival volunteers.

Qualifications:
* Performing Arts experience desired

* Mid-March through early May
* Work will escalate through the festival
* MUST be on-site for the full festival, April 25th – April 27th

Compensation:
* Hourly pay

HOUSE MANAGER
The Boston College Arts Council is looking to fill the positions of ‘House Manager’ for Spring 2013. The House Managers will be responsible for managing audience areas at event venues, assisting audience members with any problems, ensuring audience accessibility to the venue, passing out programs, anticipating potential problems, and in general assisting festival staff in managing the site. In addition, the House Manager will be responsible for coordinating hosts and hostesses in serving audiences, and ensuring a good experience for audience members and performers. The House Manager will be responsible for assisting in the event of an emergency, and monitoring the health and safety of audience members. House Managers will report to the Site Director, Production Manager, and the Festival Director, and will oversee festival volunteers.

*Please note in application if you have House Manager training. If not, training will be provided.

Qualifications:
* Audience/Client service experience desired.
