Hope For Kids in Care Survey

In 2024, Talbot School of Theology at Biola University was awarded the Hope For Kids in Care grant to resource churches to “help usher foster children* into the life of the church at a young, formative age where they can learn the valuable place they have in the kingdom as a child of God.”  The purpose of this survey is to find out what your church is already doing in this space and learn possible ways we could provide resources or support.  The information you provide will be used to inform our program development and network with you.  It may be aggregated for research purposes but will remain confidential.  Most questions are optional.  The survey takes under 10 minutes to complete.  Please feel free to forward to any other churches whom you think would be interested.  Thank you very much for your participation.  We look forward to working with you to support these precious children!

In Christ,
The Hope For Kids in Care Team

*For the purposes of this survey, FOSTER CHILDREN (often referred to in California as "children in foster care" or "dependents of the court") are children and youth under the age of 21 who have been placed in the formal care and custody of the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) or a similar county agency because their parents or guardians are unable to provide a safe home. This includes children living with relative caregivers (kinship care), in resource family homes (formerly called foster homes), or in group residential settings.
