About us:
Tranquil River Rescue is a small rescue in Wacousta, Michigan. We specialize in cats & kittens and barn/feral (TNR) cats. 

Before you get started, here’s a few notes about cat ownership. Cat ownership costs approximately $500-$1,000 per year. Here’s a list of potential costs you might come across; food, litter, routine vet care, and saving for a potential emergency.

We know finding the right home takes more than timing. Rather than approving adopters in the order applications arrive, we take time to review each application and match cats with the household that best fits their personality and needs. Thank you for your patience as we make sure it’s the right fit for both you and the cat.


Kitten Adoptions:
We always encourage potential adopters to adopt 2 kittens at once. This prevents behavioral issues in the future. Please feel free to research "Single Kitten Syndrome". Here is an article explaining more.

Adoption details:
Cats are available for adoption when they're spayed/neutered and have received age appropriate vaccinations. 
All cats will be microchipped. 
Potential adopters must be over the age of 18. 
You will need to have the cat/cat's seen by your vet within 30 days of adoption.
