Bryan Park Adopt-an-Acre Volunteer Application
Become a Habitat Steward every second Saturday of the month from 10am-1pm at the Bryan Park Creek to help manage invasive plants and learn the benefits of native plants in landscaping.
Additional tasks include assessing floral inventory and site conditions, native plantings, and keeping the area free of trash.
Please bring water, gloves, good shoes/ boots, and appropriate outdoor clothing. Tools will be provided but feel free to bring your favorite pruners or other garden tools.
Habitat Stewards is a 501c3 non-profit organization under the Center for Sustainable Living with a mission to foster and protect biodiversity and ecosystem resilience through education and action. Habitat Stewards facilitates the City of Bloomington's certification as a Community Wildlife Habitat with the National Wildlife Federation.
This programming is made available by the 2019 Bloomington Parks and Recreation Adopt-an-Acre program.
