Aikāne O Hōkūlani

Hi, my name is Katie and I have sent three kids to Hokulani because it is a great school.

However, schools stay great because of parental involvement. Joining the Aikāne O Hōkūlani board is the most important way to help the school. It is the FUNDRAISING committee for the school and pays for many things:

1. New classroom desks

2. Hawaiian music program

3. Creative drama teacher

4. Gardens throughout campus

5. Grade 5 Farewell program

6. Assistance with playground costs

7. Assistance with building our new library

8. Assistance with class laptop purchases

9. The Hokulani School website

We are involved in most projects within the school and need your help. We are in search of multiple leadership roles and ad-hoc volunteers to help during special school events. Currently, we have 3 parents and myself and would appreciate any help you can offer.

Here are some of the initiatives for the school year:

1. We want to continue to fulfill the Amazon wish lists for our teacher classroom supplies. They are updating their lists and you can donate items for you child's class.

2. We want to direct Aikāne monies to things that are of greatest value to both Parents and Students. Please check what you would like to see:

Watter bottle filling stations throughout campus to replace drinking fountains

Air conditioning for individual classrooms (this will required a campus electrical upgrade)

After school art class

After school tutoring program

After school sports

After school language classes
