Thank you for registering for Camp Creativity! We believe that creativity is not just for artists, but an essential part of a child's emotional, mental, and physical development. We believe that confidence, resilience, and the courage to develop skill emerges though a focus on process, exploration, and practice.
For the Puppet Theatre camps, campers will create a backdrop, "stage" and their very own sock puppet character. On the final day, campers will have the opportunity to practice their storytelling skills by working together to perform a favorite story.
For the Cardboard Creations camp, campers will have options to create unique sculptures, a cardboard village, and/or self-portrait made out of recycled materials.
For the Superhero Storytelling Camp, campers will have the opportunity to practice their creativity and storytelling skills through the development of their very own Superhero. Campers will learn the basics of drawing human bodies, and then use those skills to draw their superhero. They will develop a story line for their superhero though comics, and conclude with creating a multimedia piece of Superhero art!
Camp location will be in Mary's basement studio. After registering, you will receive an email with payment information, camp details, and address. Your child is fully registered after securing payment. We look forward to creating with your child this summer!
