Rock Paper Scissors LLC ( “Rock Paper Scissors,” “Lauren Craig,” “I,” “my," "me") is a process-based art studio that teaches children about art using sensory and process-based experiences and art techniques. As the parent or legal guardian of your child, and by your signature below, you agree to the following:
My goal is to foster a positive learning environment filled with creativity and camaraderie for both students and parents. You and your child agree to treat all participants and instructors of Rock Paper Scissors art programs with kindness and respect.
I love to have fun and get messy! You will make sure your child is properly dressed for art class: this means wearing clothing that can get messy.
As a process-based class, we use a wide range of materials in art projects, including but not limited to: paint, glue, pastels, chalk, fiber, wax, glue guns, hammers, scissors and sometimes sharp objects. While I do my best to monitor every child’s use of these materials, accidents may occur from time to time due to the inherent risk in using these materials. You understand that these materials are not meant for consumption, and will instruct your child not to consume any materials and to always conduct themselves in a safe manner.
The safety of your child and other children is our top priority. Running in the art space is dangerous for both your child and others around them, so your child agrees not to run when participating in Rock Paper Scissors programs.
You have disclosed to me any physical, emotional, social issues, or medical issues your child may have so I can best prepare to make accommodations.
I love promoting process-based art and sharing it with others. I may take a few photographs or video (“Media”) during our art classes to post on social media or in email newsletters. This helps me show others what the studio is all about! I will never use personal identifiers (i.e. name, school) for your child. I am the sole owner of any Media and may use the Media in any way, at my sole discretion. You grant me permission to use your child’s image without any restriction and waive your right to inspect or approve the Media OR you have informed me NOT to take photos, video, or audio of your child.
You give your permission for your child to participate in Rock Paper Scissors programs. You release and hold Rock Paper Scissors harmless from any and all liability that may arise in connection with Rock Paper Scissors programs.
By providing your email address, you agree to be added to the Rock Paper Scissors newsletter mailing list.
I have thoroughly read, fully understand, and agree to be bound by the terms of this Liability Waiver. This Liability Waiver will govern my child’s current and future participation in Rock Paper Scissors art programs.
