Registration for Parkside's Root Camp 2019
Parkside's Roots to Market is pleased to offer a new, more integrated series of gardening and food preparation classes for its 2019 season. Because RTM classes will now be more cumulative and build upon each other, we are asking interested gardeners and foodies to sign up for the class ahead of time, and make the commitment to attend as many as they possibly can! Although we have offered classes in gardening and food preservation in the past, this year we have split these into two separate classes:

"RTM 101" teaches the skills of market gardening, where you can learn not only the basics you need to start a garden, but tips and tricks for producing the kind of quality and quantity you need to sell to the market (or at least produce, beautiful, delicious produce!).

"RTM 102" will guide students through various techniques for preserving and processing the foods they grow in the garden. You'll learn how to make chips, jerky, pickles, jams, and more!

Participants who complete all of the classes and demonstrate their gardening or food preparation knowledge will be certified "Root Camp" Graduates! This will qualify you to participate in more advanced "200 level" classes that Roots to Market is preparing to offer in the near future!
