On the occasion of its 80th anniversary, our Federal Association for Housing and Urban Development (link to profile + website) will be addressing the issue of our cities' capacity to act at its association day on 24 September 2026 in the former State Council building at Schloßplatz 1 in Berlin, with the working title ‘Strengthening municipalities, transforming cities’.
We would very much like to invite someone, preferably Helle Søholt or David Sim, to give a keynote speech (also in English) in the second thematic block.
Second topic block: Transforming cities: Approaching change with courage – in design and attitude. The great task of transformation is feasible, with a clear compass for orientation and new structures for a resilient urban society. What are the experiences of our neighbours?
Who attends our association conferences?
Approximately 200 to 240 participants, primarily from local authorities, but also from local politics, federal politics, the housing and real estate industry, and architecture and urban planning firms.
