SDRC Peer Mentoring Program
Student Disability Resource Center (SDRC) mentors help facilitate a student’s transition to UCR.

SDRC mentors meet and communicate with their mentees twice a month and assist with:
Disability awareness and accommodations at the university level
Providing guidance and directions to support/resources on campus
Goal setting and progress monitoring

Training will consist of two day workshops during Week 0.

Mentors will also meet one to two times a month to check-in with a lead peer mentor and/or the program’s advisor.

Commitment: You would serve as a mentor to your assigned mentee(s) for at least one academic school year.

Benefits: As a volunteer mentor, you will have the opportunity to improve your own self and social awareness skills as well as your networking skills. You may also use this experience as a co-curricular activity.
