This year's festival will take place at Summerleaze Park in Maidenhead, off Summerleaze Road, SL6 8SP (https://what3words.com/learn.meal.whites) on Friday 3rd & Saturday 4th July, with setup and take-down on the days before/afterwards.

BEFORE AND AFTER...
SET UP & TAKE DOWN - Volunteers are required for festival set-up. Tuesday set-up will include building the stillage and cooling set-up. Wednesday will be when the majority of the beer and cider will arrive, so will include lifting the beer into place with the help of a hydraulic lift. Thursday will be for general bits and pieces that need doing before the festival opens to the public. You will be in a team led by the Site Manager and other key managers. You’ll be provided with gloves and protective footwear plus free food and drink (soft and alcoholic!) for your efforts.

ON THE DAY...
BEER, KEG & CIDER BARS - Involves serving our customers a wide range of real ales and ciders. This year the festival will be offering THIRD, HALF PINT and PINT measures. No cash behind the bar - cashless payment machines only.

ENTRANCE, TOKENs and GLASSES – As the customers’ first impressions are all important, volunteers in this area MUST be customer facing. Responsibilities include collecting entrance fees and handing out glasses - which are on loan while attending the festival. You could have any of these responsibilities or rotate as part of the entrance role.

MEMBERSHIP - We are having a membership stand with CAMRA iPad/Tablet to recruit new people to CAMRA.

STEWARDING – Volunteers for this role must be capable of dealing with the public and remaining calm. You’ll be provided with an orange CAMRA steward's polo shirt and a radio. Please note: You won't be able to drink alcohol before or during your session but you will still receive beer tokens that can be used when you are not on duty.

SITE CLEAR-UP - This role involves keeping the site clean and tidy during opening hours. Clearing litter and keeping the area clean.

NO PREFERENCE - If your first-choice role is not shown for a particular session from the above then it is likely others have been more speedy in volunteering for it and we have reached the required numbers... but on the day we may need to adjust and/or have some gaps, so with this selection we are keen you still volunteer with flexibility in mind and you could be offered any of the above or a mix of roles during the session.

PLEASE NOTE: you only need complete the form ONCE as all responses are automatically logged. You should receive an automatic confirmation to the email address you provide in this form, in receipt of your successful completion of the staffing form. Roles and positions will be confirmed prior to the festival in a separate email.

If you are submitting a form for someone other than yourself, please ensure you submit a new staffing application rather than edit an already-submitted form. If you edit an already submitted form, its original details are overwritten.

INFECTION CONTROL:

There will be no social distancing or the need to wear face masks at MBCF, if you are uncomfortable with this please do not volunteer. There will be hand sanitiser available.

VOLUNTEER RENUMERATION...
Renumeration is set specific to the session volunteered for as follows:

Session 1 2x drink vouchers (2 pints) - please eat before arriving
Session 2 2x drinks vouchers (2 pints), 1x food voucher
Session 3 2x drinks vouchers (2 pints), 1x food voucher

Volunteers attending multiple sessions will receive renumeration for each session, so for example:
Volunteer for sessions 1 & 2 = FOUR pints and ONE food voucher
Volunteer for sessions 2 & 3 = FOUR pints and TWO food vouchers
Volunteer sessions 1, 2 & 3 (all day) = SIX pints and TWO food vouchers

Food vouchers will be able to be combined towards one purchase - for example - two vouchers can be used towards one meal or a food voucher plus balance of cash. Change WILL NOT be given for food vouchers.

Food will be provided by the Summerleaze Park concession and vendor/s, including vegetarian options.

In addition to vouchers, those volunteering during the Festival days (Friday and Saturday) you will also be entitled to:
- Free entry to the festival on day/s you are working (excludes beer tokens for the time you attending as non-working).
- NOTE: to save costs, this year we WILL NOT have a Festival t-shirt; instead, volunteers are asked to wear a beer related T-shirt. Similarly, there will be no festival glass; instead, glasses will be on loan from the CAMRA warehouse, but must be returned.
