Employee Volunteer Redeployment Request Form
Please indicate your interest in a voluntary redeployment assignment by completing this form by 4 pm June 23, 2020. Only those who complete the form can be considered for one of these opportunities.

Opportunities may exist for cleaning roles and various frontline customer service roles assisting in the City’s response to COVID-19.  You are invited to express your interest in one of these limited redeployment opportunities.

Please note that other positions may become available, so please provide a comprehensive and complete representation of your skillset so your eligibility for all positions can be fully assessed.

If matched for a redeployment assignment, you will be provided with all necessary training and orientation to a safety protocol that follows all AHS guidelines. In accordance with the agreement reached with your union, employees who enter into redeployment assignments will continue to be paid for their normal assigned daily and biweekly hours of work (though shift schedules, start and end times may vary) throughout the assignment(s).  You will also be paid at your current rate of pay.

This means that you may have the opportunity to return to work in a redeployed capacity and resume earning 100 percent of your salary and full benefits regardless of the duties you are assigned. If you are redeployed, you will transition to temporary layoff either at the completion of your redeployment assignment(s) or when it is determined that no further redeployment opportunities exist.

We look forward to exploring opportunities with you and please feel free to email covid19redeployment@edmonton.ca if you have any questions.
