Educators! Call for Curriculum Submissions    Due: December 31, 2024
Dr. Yolanda Sealey-Ruiz invites educators to contribute curriculum ideas that use the Racial Literacy Development Model (RLDM) and the Archaeology of Self™ for inclusion in her forthcoming book. The curriculum plans should integrate the concept of Archaeology of Self™ and apply the components of the RLDM. Yolanda plans to publish a select group of curriculum examples across grade levels and in various content areas. All ideas are welcome! 

Please submit curriculum that fit/relate to these categories:

  • Collaborative / Community-based learning activities
  • Discussion Questions
  • Learning Menus
  • Project Based Learning Interdisciplinary Projects
  • Reflection questions for teachers and/or students
  •  Text sets
  • Visual and Digital Storytelling Projects

Suggested Parameters:

K-2: Introduce concepts of identity, diversity, and fairness 
3-5: Introduce concepts that explore cultural backgrounds, community roles, and early discussions 
         on equity and justice.
6-8: Introduce concepts that delve deeper into historical contexts
9-12: Introduce concepts that call for critical analysis, deep self reflection, transformative 
           learning and social action.


Timeline:

Deadline for all Submissions is December 31, 2024
Notification of Submission Decisions is March 30, 2025
