MEET THE WORKSHOP LEADER: Sanjita is an incoming senior at Dougherty Valley High School. She is very passionate about STEM and social activism. In the field of social activism, Sanjita is particularly passionate about bridging financial and gender inequities. She enjoys programming and research, but also public speaking and debate! As one of connect&compute’s founders, Sanjita is committed to leading change in the world around her. Sanjita especially loves working with kids whether it be teaching speech and debate throughout the year, joining 5th graders for outdoor ed, or leading workshops weekly with C&C. She is excited to see C&C’s impact this summer!
WHAT IS C&C: Connect&Compute is a non-profit organization with chapters across the nation that aims to bridge the wealth gap in education. We provide underprivileged students with access to free technological learning opportunities. This is done through partnering with corporate companies, selling merch, and holding recycling fundraisers to collect technology which we install in our partners schools. Our teams also lead workshops at our partner schools to expose kids to the various applications of technology! The Covid-19 pandemic has put a temporary pause to our in person workshops so we hope these online workshops can continue to provide students with learning opportunities and raise funds for our coming year!
