Botetourt County Fair 4-H/FFA Purebred Sheep Show
August 9, 2019 following market lamb show

Classes:

1. Junior Ram Lambs (Rams born after January 1, 2019)
2. Senior Rams Lambs (Rams born September 1 - December 31, 2018)
3. Yearling Rams (Rams should be at least one year of age, but have not reached 2 years of age by show date)
6. Junior Ewe Lambs (Ewes born after January 1, 2019)
7. Senior Ewe Lambs (Ewes born September 1 - December 31, 2018)
8. Yearling Ewe (Ewes should be at least one year of age, but have not reached 2 years of age by show date)
11. Breeders Flock (5 entries, at least 1 Ram)

Rules
1. Purebred sheep in the purebred sheep show may NOT be entered in the market lamb or commercial sheep shows.
2. Fitting is not required.
3. A minimum of 5 sheep is required to hold a breed show. If the breed does not meet the minimum requirement, those sheep will be placed in All Other Registered Breeds.
4. Registration papers must be available for all animals entered in breed shows. If no registration paper is available the animal will be placed in the commercial show.
5. Senior lambs must be born September 1 to December 31, 2018.
6. Junior lambs must be born after January 1, 2019.
7. Sheep must have scrapie tags in their ears.
8. All exhibitors are limited to 2 entries per class.
9. Entry fees of $10.00/head should be mailed to VCE-Botetourt, PO Box 217 Fincastle, VA, 24090 and postmarked by August 2nd, 2019.

Class 1: Junior Ram Lambs
Please list the number of junior ram lambs you will be showing and their breed. Remember that all exhibitors are limited to 2 entries per class and their must be at least 5 sheep of the same breed to hold a breed show. If there are not 5 sheep of the same breed, the sheep will be placed in an All Other Breeds Class. example: 2 Suffolk, 2 Dorset, 1 Hampshire
