We are so excited to have you back for another year of EMPOWER!  Be sure to fill out this re-application by July 30th so we can solidify our teams. Note that you will not need any references.

SENIORS  - Do you prefer to lead at Life Teen or EDGE this year? *
Seniors in Empower will choose to commit to serving at either EDGE or Life Teen for the whole year.
Which semester would be preferable for you to do LT Discipleship? *
Each teen as a part of EMPOWER commits to continue their formation through our LT Discipleship ministry. You will be paired with a trained discipleship mentor, meeting once a week for 6 weeks and growing together in the basics of living a personal relationship with Jesus. Here you can let us know which semester will be better for you to commit to these 6 weeks based on your academic, athletic, and extra-curricular schedules. If you have already participated in this, you do not need to do it again.
Do you have a Core Member you'd like to be partnered with for LT Discipleship and/or small group ministry? *

Life Teen Empower Commitments
Please read the following requirements and initial under them, indicating you are willing to make the commitment necessary.
EDGE & Life Teen Attendance *
Because I believe in the power of consistency, I will work hard to attend every Life Teen and EDGE “series” of the school year.  If a circumstance arises, I will notify Colleen, Emily, or Kate of my absence. I also commit to co-leading a small group with a trained core member.
Hospitality and Mentorship *
Because I believe that Life Teen & Edge is not just for me, I will commit to welcoming and developing relationships younger teens in the hope of helping lead them closer to Christ.
Empower Training & Retreat Attendance *
Because I believe in community and formation, I will make it a priority to attend the August 11th Empower Training Day and October 4-6th Empower Retreat.
LT Discipleship Commitment *
Because I believe in the necessity of ongoing conversion, I will commit to upholding my commitment to one-on-one LT Discipleship with a discipleship mentor during my year of EMPOWER.
Daily Prayer Life *
Because I believe that God is personal and that I cannot give what I don’t have, I will commit to some form of daily prayer.
Christian Lifestyle *
Because I believe in the powerful witness of a lived relationship with Christ and the powerful-counter witness of a double life, I will commit to living my life in such a way that tells the world and myself that living for Jesus is a priority.
Understanding of Commitments *
Because I believe in the importance of our mission and the power of commitment and accountability, I will commit to having open and honest dialogue with Colleen or Emily should I not be able to uphold these commitments.  If need be, I will step back from active ministry for a time in order to reequip and recommit myself as necessary.

Sometimes commitments or schedules will prohibit you from meeting some of these requirements, even if you desire to lead.
