Thank you for your interest in the MACRI Cosecha: A Mexican American Civil Rights History Harvest!
MACRI will be scanning historical items and recording oral histories to be preserved in its archival collection. Participants are asked to bring items that represent some aspect of the history of Mexican American civil rights efforts. Scanned items will be assessed for inclusion in MACRI’s digital archives, and the original items will be returned to the participant. Digital copies of the scanned items can be emailed to participants to make it easy to share with family and friends.
Examples of items of interest:
- Photographs of people, events, and organizations related to the Mexican American civil rights movement, especially from the 1920s to the present.
Documents such as letters, scrapbooks, obituaries, or newspaper clippings from Mexican American civil rights activists, organizations, and organizing efforts, especially from the 1920s to the present.
- Memorabilia such as buttons, posters, flyers, newsletters, or handbills from Mexican American civil rights organizations and organizing efforts, especially from the 1920s to the present.
