Opening Week Team Application
1. Candidates must be full-time Saint Rose students. 2. A minimum 2.0 GPA is required. 3. Candidates should have displayed active involvement in campus activities. These activities could include: participation in clubs, organizations, volunteer positions, or any involvement at Saint Rose. Involvement in the community is also an acceptable leadership experience. 4. Interest in helping new Saint Rose students. 5. Good conduct standing. 6. Ability to follow and give direction. 7. Candidates should have strong communication skills and a positive outlook.
Applications due March 13th Interviews weeks of March 17th and 24th Notification by April 1st Training starts August 20th
The Opening Week Team is supervised by the Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs and Director of Student Life. They also work closely with the Student Affairs Office staff.
1. Assist in coordinating Opening Week activities. 2. Recruit move- in day staff. 3. Report to the Student Affairs Office on August 20, 2014 for training. 4. Supervise and build team spirit with move-in group. 5. Prepare necessary publicity and materials for all events. 6. Oversee assigned Opening Week activities. 7. Assist with the move-in process.
1. $125 payment 2. Free room (resident students only) and board through Opening Weekend. 3. Outstanding leadership, supervision, and programming experience. 4. Free Opening Week shirt and other keepsakes. 5. An opportunity to become part of one of the largest campus activities which ALWAYS sets the trend for enthusiasm and involvement throughout the entire academic year. 6. Opportunity to help new Saint Rose students.
