Diploma of Distinction - Class of 2022
The Diploma of Distinction (DoD) recognizes students for their excellence in academics, character, and service in one or more specific subject areas.  In order to be considered for a Diploma of Distinction, please complete the Google Form by Friday, January 28th, 2022. Late applications will not be accepted. You must complete one form per subject area you are applying to. For example, if I am applying for the DoD in Science and World Language, I will fill out two forms; one for Science and one for World Language.

Diplomas of Distinction are currently available in nine (9) areas: Project Lead the Way (PLTW), English, World Language, Theater Arts, Musical Arts, Service Learning and Career Mentorship, Visual Arts, Entrepreneurship Business Academy (EBA) and Science.

To be eligible, you must have a cumulative grade point average of a 3.5 (unweighted), and obtained senior status (minimum of 15.0 credits by January 5, 2022).

In order to fulfill the character requirement of the DoD, a student must demonstrate the following: trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, kindness, and citizenship. Please name two teachers IN THE SUBJECT AREA you are applying for that are able to attest to your fulfillment in the character requirement. These teachers will be contacted. *
In order to fulfill the awards and exhibitions requirement of the Diploma of Distinction, a student must show proof of success in the subject matter outside the classroom.  The type of awards and exhibitions required varies according to the subject area (please check subject area requirements for qualifying awards and/or exhibitions). Please list awards and exhibitions in which you have participated, and met the requirement per subject area. *
In order to fulfill the service requirement of the Diploma of Distinction, a student must show proof of community involvement.  The type of community involvement required varies according to the subject area, therefore use the qualifications sheets for reference. If there is any question whatsoever concerning the acceptability of a specific service activity, seek pre-approval from Mr. Quart. *
