Tyfu Powys Grants: Themed Community Growing Events, Engaging your Community

Tell us your event ideas and plans. To apply, complete the grant application form giving as much detail as possible, and by sending us the documents requested.  

WE HAVE EXTENDED OUR DEADLINE: Please complete the following application form ideally 1 month before your planned event date and by 30 November 2024.  We will review and award applications bi-weekly from 13 August, with 10 x People and Planet and 10 x Eat Well grants to distribute.  Once we have run out of funds, this application form will not be accessible, so please get your applications in now!

EVENT DAYS: should take place between August and 15 December 2024.   You will need to submit receipts and evidence by 15 December 2024 at the latest. 

AIM OF GRANT: remember, we are looking for your site to host a themed event, planned and delivered with roles for existing volunteers.  This event will enable you to have discussions with attenders and follow-up with self-selected attenders (as a returning new volunteer or visitor or sharing what they have learnt).

SCORING CRITERIA 

Essential  

  • Of benefit to Powys residents 
  • Insurance in place, or willingness to put in place 
  • Relevant policies in place, or willingness to put in place 
  • Event tailored to themes 
  • Involvement of existing volunteers in event/follow-up planning and delivery

Weighted

  • Engagement of attenders with theme - 10% 
  • No of volunteers involved in event planning and delivery - 30% 
  • No of anticipated attenders relevant to site and group capacity - 10% 
  • Audience for event appropriate to aims - 15% 
  • New application to Tyfu Powys - 5% 
  • Follow-up planning and capacity - 30%  TOTAL WEIGHTED CRITERIA - 100%
