At Beach.com, we’re searching for freelance pitches focused on beach destinations and coastal getaways across the globe. We’re looking for writers with a deep love and knowledge of beach destinations, so make sure your pitch offers a unique perspective and expertise.

Rules

  • Submit only one idea per Google Form entry.
  • Please don’t pitch us completed articles. 
  • Check our website to ensure your topic hasn’t already been covered.

How to Pitch

Fill out the form below with as much detail as possible about your story and pitch. Due to the high volume of submissions, if you haven’t heard back within a month, kindly consider it a pass. We sincerely appreciate the time and thought you put into pitching!

If your pitch is accepted, an editor will contact you to discuss the specifics and expected timeline for your article.

Rates: 

  • $250 for 1,500-word articles using exclusively stock images.
  • $300 for 1,500-word articles that include personal images or a mix of stock and personal photos (minimum of 3 high-quality, landscape-oriented images).

Local Beach Guides

Are you a local with insider knowledge of Florida, California, Hawaii or another coastal area in the U.S.? We’re seeking expert writers—preferably locals or long-term residents—who can dive deep into these popular beachside locations.

We’re especially interested in:

  • Hidden Beaches: Lesser-known stretches of sand perfect for solitude.
  • Romantic Getaways: Dreamy honeymoon destinations and couples escapes. 
  • Family Travel: Family-friendly beaches and kid-approved activities.
  • Local Hotspots: Lively beach bars, beachfront cafes, and must-visit beach attractions.
  • Beach Activities: Top spots for snorkeling, surfing, and beachside yoga.
  • Seasonal Adventures: Off-season beach destinations, wildlife watching, etc

We’re also seeking pitches about international coastal destinations such as:

  • The Caribbean: Bahamas and the Virgin Islands
  • Europe/Mediterranean: Portugal, Greece, Italy, France, Croatia and Spain.
  • Tropical Paradises: Philippines, Mexico, Bali, and the Maldives.
  • Coastal Retreats: Thailand, Australia and Mexico.

Best Of and Top Lists

We love a well-researched, highly engaging list! From the best white-sand beaches to top snorkeling spots, our readers want practical recommendations with clear takeaways.

Example Pitches:

  • “10 Most Beautiful Beaches in [Region]”
  • “Best Secluded Beaches in [Region] for a Quiet Escape”
  • “Top Beaches in [Region] for Crystal-Clear Water”

Travel Itineraries and Day Trips

Our audience loves well-structured travel plans that make trip planning easy. Think step-by-step itineraries that break down the best ways to spend a weekend or week in a beach destination.

Extraordinary Travel Stories
