Children's Weekend Food Program (CWFP), a weekend backpack program, is currently seeking candidates for our newly created, volunteer Outreach Leader position. All St. Peter area community members are eligible to apply. We intend to interview applicants and select a candidate within 2 weeks of the application deadline. The deadline for applications is Saturday, August 30, 2024.What to Expect:
The Outreach Leader position has been created as part of a three person leadership team that will oversee the operation of CWFP and help provide direction for the program(s). This new position, along with the other positions that make up the leadership team will help in defining many of the policies and procedures for the committee and its team members. Each member of the leadership team is supported by a group of experienced volunteers who manage the day to day operations. It is the responsibility of each leader to communicate with their team of volunteers and make sure that the jobs are getting completed as needed.
Outreach Leader Responsibilities:
The Outreach Leader is responsible for overseeing
communication and fundraising on behalf of the program. This includes management of our website and
Facebook page, general publicity regarding the program, and overseeing
fundraising efforts throughout the year. This position is estimated to take approximately 5 - 10 hours per month on average.
