Varna Pallata| Play at IHA | May 16 | 6.30 PM

🎭 About the event:

Varna Pallata is a satirical tragicomedy whose characters and circumstances will feel recognisable across towns and eras in India. Rooted in Ambedkarite thought, the play invites audiences to reflect on a social order in which the caste system renders natural human emotion and behaviour into transgression. With sharp wit and compassion, it illuminates the growing insensitivity that has come to define contemporary spheres of education, politics, justice, and public life. In doing so, Varna Pallata holds up a mirror to the hollow reforms and superficial transformations that continue to shape – and constrain – Indian society today.
