Student Organization Renewal 13-14

Maintaining Recognition
To maintain eligibility, a recognized student organization must renew their application for recognition with the Office of Campus Programming every year by September 20. This annual renewal process must provide the Office of Campus Programming with the following:
-All information included in this form (including a full membership roster)
-A copy of the current organization constitution/bylaws (as requested or if changes have been made)

Additionally groups must:
-Host 3 meetings or 1 event each semester
-Participate in the involvement fair (when applicable to membership recruitment)
-Participate in the organization/leaders workshops put on by Campus Programming
-Have an active 60/Agency account with the Business Office and maintain a positive balance
-Complete the annual report sent out every April

    OFFICERS

    Student organizations are at minimum, expected to have a President, Vice President, Secretary/Treasurer. If officers change throughout the year, please let Campus Programming know within 2 weeks.

    ORGANIZATION ADVISOR

    Please be sure you have consulted with the faculty or staff prior to placing their name on the document and that they are agreeing to do another school year, even if they have advised the group in the past. If your advisor changes throughout the year, please let us know within 2 weeks.

    ORGANIZATION ROSTER

    Please list all members of your organization. If you have updates throughout the year, please let us know. This is used to keep records up to date in the Student Life Office.

    CHANGES IN THE ORGANIZATION

    Organizations MUST notify the Office of Campus Programming within two weeks if there is a change in the leadership or advisor. If this deadline is missed it is considered a lapse in recognition. Groups that have lost recognition and wish to start-up again must apply as if they were an entirely new organization through the process designated by Student Senate and the Office of Student Life.
