On the occasion of its Diamond Jubilee, the United Theological College of the West
Indies wishes to offer its Alumni, Benefactors, Friends and Well-Wishers the opportunity
to partner with the College in achieving some of its most pressing developmental goals
reflected in the following:
THE SOLAR ENERGY PROJECT
This is the Diamond Jubilee Legacy Project.
Solar Energy is currently generated on campus on a very limited scale. The overall cost
of utilities is in excess of a quarter (1/4) of the College’s Budget, with amounts charged
for light and power accounting for a significant portion of that cost. The goal is to
solarize the entire Campus so as to reduce the cost of light and power and improve the
College’s environmental footprint.
RESOURCES- DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVE
The increasing use of electronic resources at the College in teaching and learning and
the College’s plan to use technological means to extend its course offerings and its
influence globally, necessitates the improvement and extension of the existing
technological infrastructure and resources.
