Muine Bheag Arts invites artist collectives, duos, and collaborative groups to take part in Distro: Live Publishing, an experimental, DIY publishing studio hosted in the Muine Bheag Community Centre as part of COMMUNE from 15th - 25th August 2025.
This is a shared space for temporary collaboration, a place to explore what it means to publish collectively, test ideas in real time, and make work in public view. There’s no theme and no required outcome, just a focus on peer-led collaboration, DIY, and experimental approaches to making and publishing.
Each selected group will be allocated a timeslot on one of the available dates (18th, 19th, 20th August) where they will have access to:
Work together in a shared, peer-led context
Explore publishing as process
Test ideas publicly, in full form or unfinished
Leave behind traces: a zine, a test print, a diagram, a bundle of notes...
Your contribution, whatever shape it takes, will become part of a temporary exhibition curated by Chloe Maguire, unfolding as a living archive of collective publishing practices.
Equipment and materials will be provided but please feel free to bring your own too!
Deadline to apply: Friday 4th July at 5pm
Note: This is an unpaid opportunity
