    Should I request a group tour?

    Organizations (e.g. high schools) who wish to bring a group over 15 students to visit NYU should complete page two of this form to request a group tour. We try our best to accommodate all high-school aged students on group tours, based on availability. We do NOT provide group tours for K-8th grade students. If your group is under 15 students, please email John Juby at john.juby@nyu.edu to reserve seats in one of our NYU Information Sessions and Tours.

    What is included in a group tour? Can we speak with an admissions representative?

    A Student Ambassador will lead your group in an hour-long campus tour of NYU facilities including the library, a classroom building, the student center, and a residence hall lobby (room tours are not available). Chaperones must accompany students on the tour. Following the tour, depending on availability, students in their junior and senior year of high school may also be offered a 30-minute information session with an admissions counselor to review the NYU application process.

    When are group tours available?

    Group tours are offered in the spring on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 10:30 am during the months of February and March. Select dates will be available in May.

    Are group tours available year round?

    Group tours are generally available when NYU classes are in session. We do not conduct group tours during final exam periods, University Holidays, or academic breaks. We cannot offer group tours in July or August.

    For the 2014-2015 school year, group tours will NOT be available on the following dates:

    * November 24-26, 2014 * December 15, 2014 - February 2, 2015 * February 17-20, 2015 * March 16 - April 24, 2015 * May 11-22, 2015 * July and August

    When should I request a tour? When will my tour be confirmed?

    Tours must be requested at least three weeks in advance by email. We do our best to accommodate all groups that wish to visit but, due to the high volume of requests, we cannot guarantee a tour for all groups. You will receive a response to your request via email within seven business days. Once you receive an email back from our office, you must send the signed confirmation form back at least two weeks before your tour.

    Is there a fee for the tour? When and where should I send payment?

    There is a fee for group tours (see next page). DO NOT send a payment with your request. Once you receive a confirmation, checks should be made out to New York University and received by the Admissions Office on or before the date of your tour. Please write your group name and tour date on the check. Do not send checks until our office confirms the tour. NYU will ONLY accept payments in the form of check or money order.

    How should I get to campus?

    Once your request is received, you will receive a confirmation from our office with all the details of your tour. Tours generally depart from the Jeffrey S. Gould Welcome Center located at 50 West 4th Street, NY, NY 10012. We strongly encourage guests to utilize public transportation when visiting.

    Can we eat on campus?

    NYU Dining Halls cannot accommodate large tour groups. However, there are many restaurants around Washington Square that can typically accommodate large groups. For a map of places to eat in the area, please visit http://bit.ly/15cTwAr.
