12.04.21 & 12.11.21 Rocky Mountains: Church series (2) - Go to church again
MJCCC Children Devo (every Wed – Dec 08 2021) by Pastor Sunny Wong
We are the branches (John 15:4-5)
Jesus Christ is the vine and we are the branches. This is a very beautiful picture to show our close relationship with Jesus Christ and our dependence on Jesus Christ. The branches can become healthy only when they connect with the vine to receive water and nourishment everyday. At the right time, the branches bear fruits. We are truly & spiritually healthy when we connect with Jesus Christ regularly. His words and Spirit are helping us to bear the fruits that glorify the name of God! May God, our Heavenly Father, take care of His vine and help us grow to bear His fruits!

What is Church?
Church is the "body" of Jesus Christ, which means:
1) Church is God’s People
2) God’s people grow up together in Christ
3) God’s people are His chosen treasure
4) God cares & looks after His people
5) Jesus is waiting for us every time when we get ready to go to church
6) Jesus is leading us to worship & serve GOD because we are His "temple"
7) God wants us to bear fruits, not being a wasteland!

Summary of teaching (12.11.21)
Martha and Mary welcomed Jesus to go to their home. Martha was so busy preparing all the stuff for Jesus – maybe cleaning up the place, cooking some breads, preparing some teas – in order to make Jesus feel welcomed. Mary chose to sit at Jesus’ feet and listened to His words. Jesus treasured both of them but HE did see that Martha got annoyed and worried because of all the works she felt she had to do it. Even Martha complained to Jesus why HE didn’t ask Mary to help! Jesus said Mary had chosen the best because she welcomed Jesus by listening to His words. Let’s welcome our Lord, Jesus by listening and obeying to His words first. Serving with thankful hearts go after!

Do you have any questions for Jesus?
Thank you for your effort! You are building your life on Jesus' words! PTL
Matthew 7:24 “Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. 26 And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. 27 And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it.”
