2015 FACULTY TEACHING & RESEARCH SYMPOSIUM ABSTRACT SUBMISSION FORM

The Faculty Development Committee is seeking submissions for the 2015 Faculty Teaching & Research Symposium to be held in UBH on WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 18, 2015, from 8:30am until 4:30pm. The Symposium will allow faculty to present innovative teaching topics and related current research during oral presentations. As a presenter, you will have the opportunity to share your ideas, experiences and expertise with colleagues. Also, if you would like to be involved in other ways, please indicate your interest on this form.

FINAL DEADLINE for abstract submission: FRIDAY, JANUARY 16, 2015!
(Early submissions are appreciated and encouraged, as those time preferences will be prioritized.)

Each presentation time frame is 20 minutes.

SUGGESTED TOPICS: effective teaching methods, diversity and cultural considerations, community learning, specific technology training, theoretical models, innovative programs, advocacy, modifications and adaptations, ethical considerations, social policy issues, interventions, outcome measurements and current research trends.

    SUBMISSION INFORMATION

    Below, please indicate the information for your session. *Based upon feedback from last year's Symposium regarding the Technology Workshops and the CETL Resources and Needs Survey that was administered, the Technology Workshops category will be included again in this year's program. These workshops are designed for faculty who want to learn how to implement classroom technologies that enhance student learning. The intent is for these to be particularly active and "hands-on" for the audience in terms of format and structure. If you have expertise in a particular form of classroom technology and are interested in leading a workshop, please enter your information below.
