Hey SAACURH!

It is with great enthusiasm that I am announcing my passion project for SAACURH 2019-2020 year. The SAACURH Advocacy and Awareness program began its roots at the closing of the Annual NACURH Conference 2018 at ASU. After assessing the current state of the region, there was a need for more advocacy initiatives in the South Atlantic Region. Positionally I want to prioritize the partnership with SAACURH’s Regional Philanthropy Partner the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and providing more ways for member institutions to get connected to their resources. As a result the SAACURH Advocacy and Awareness Program was formed. This program allows for RHA’s and NRHH’s to choose an advocacy initiative that is unique to their respective campus or to design a program to support the mission of the region philanthropy partnership The goal for this program is to spread awareness, keep affiliated institutions connected to SAACURH all year round, and get SAACURH connected with the current regional philanthropy. I am very excited to see the programs and events you all come up with!
