Jodee Varney set off with her sister, Heather, on June 15, 2015 to cross North America by bicycle. Prior to starting the trip, neither had ever been on a single overnight bike trip, and Heather's longest bike ride was less than 20 miles. They biked westbound from Boston to Seaside Oregon via many backroads and a few Interstate freeways, camping almost every night, while carrying 20-23 pounds of gear each.  They met lots of real people, and visited some places that many of us have never heard of. Come see photo highlights, hear tales that may renew your faith in humanity, and learn about ultralight bicycle touring.

Potluck Info:
If you wish to participate in the potluck, homemade dishes are welcome, store bought goodies & takeout are equally welcome:) Plates, bowls, cups, cutlery, napkins and drink pitchers will be supplied. The auditorium has a kitchen if you need to do any re-warming or prep (w/stovetop, oven, microwave, sink & fridge). Please bring your own cooking pots if needed for stovetop.

Take the MBTA Subway Red or Green Lines, or the #43 or #55 bus, to Park Street Station. Walk through the Boston Common uphill towards the State House on Beacon St. To the left of the State House is Joy St; follow Joy St uphill to #4 Joy St, AMC Cabot Auditorium Building (brownstone) on the left hand side. Look for the AMC Slideshow signs on the door and fence.

Parking:
Nearby parking is available at the Boston Common Garage, located underneath the Boston Common. Access is off Charles St,between the Public Garden and the Boston Common. We offer discount parking passes at the show ($9). You save 50%.
