In response to the Trump administration’s “zero-tolerance” immigration policy, San Diego Federal Court implemented Operation Streamline in July 2018. Since then, the state has prosecuted thousands of immigrants for “illegal entry.”
The Bail Project has been in San Diego for over three months fighting Operation Streamline by posting bonds for people. Recently, the government has changed their practices so that people whose bond is posted will be released to the community while they fight their cases.
Many of the individuals who come to this country who will be released will need support from our community. You can directly help us get someone out of detention.
The government believes that people won't stand up. Let's prove them wrong.
