If I get it for myself, it protects my stuff if it gets, like, burned up in a fire. And it covers damage to the property in case of accidents, and things.
If I don't get it for myself, it will be added to my rent, but won't protect my stuff. It will only cover the property I live in.
Well, when you put it that way, it only makes sense for me to get Renter's insurance myself.
