KCA Warehouse Volunteer Application
Our work may surprise you.
We need more volunteers to join our team so that we can continue the important work in the local community. We have vacancies for volunteers to assist us with sorting and boxing up of non-food donations and general helpers across our food rescue operations.
Volunteers will need their own transport to get to and from our warehouse in Grenada North as we are not on a public transport route.
This role involves sorting and boxing up all incoming donations which can be anything from clothing, shoes, food to putting away furniture and whiteware. Once you have mastered where all our stock is in our warehouse you will be able to assist with making up the various orders from our 74 partner agencies that we distribute stock to when we have orders to make up.
Clearing various drop off points locally using the KCA minivan with another team member. Some donation pick ups too from our donors homes or businesses.
All donations coming in and going out will need to be photographed and uploaded on to our Facebook page. A great phone manner is also required as our various partner agencies call or text us so you must be able to use a smart phone.
This role can involve some heavy lifting between 2 people so you must be reasonably fit.
A minimum commitment of 3 months is required for this shift.
