Wordpress Web Developer Job Application

Climber Interactive is a small web agency seeking a mid-level Wordpress/PHP developer (3-5+ years experience). We primarily work in the non-profit/education sector. We do new sites from the ground up as well as a good deal of ongoing maintenance work. The work is varied but is roughly 70% Wordpress, 20% CraftCMS and 10% Vue/React.

The work is fairly varied; sometimes you’ll work on a project for a month straight and other times you’ll bounce around and take care of smaller miscellaneous tasks depending on client needs.

Below are the general languages, technologies and workflows that we typically use.

Front-end

  • JavaScript - vanilla JS, jQuery, GSAP
  • Cross-browser/device testing
  • NPM, Webpack, Gulp
  • CSS: Tailwind, SASS
  • Frameworks: Vue, React
Backend
  • PHP
  • CraftCMS
  • WordPress
Misc
  • Familiarity with version control and collaboration using GIT
  • No design skills are required for this position but a general eye for detail is appreciated
  • Sysadmin experience a plus but not required

This job is intended to be a full-time permanent position, but we’d like to start out on a freelance basis for a few months to make sure it’s a good fit for both of us.

This job is remote so you can live anywhere in the US, but you’ll need to work and be available for calls during regular Monday-Friday business hours.
