Dear Parents and Families,

I want to extend to you and your child my warmest welcome to another great school year at Killian Elementary School. My name is Mr. You, and I am excited to be your child’s 5th-grade teacher this year. This marks my 22nd year with the Rowland Unified School District. I hold a degree in psychology from California State University, Fullerton, and I completed my teaching credential there as well. Additionally, I earned my Master's degree from Walden University with an emphasis on curriculum and instruction. Over the years, I have had the privilege of teaching all grade levels, from second grade to high school students. I am also a keynote speaker and a published author.

My teaching philosophy centers on the belief that each child is unique and learns in different ways. One of my primary roles as a teacher is to help your child discover their individuality and work alongside them to maximize their potential. I am committed to creating a nurturing and stimulating environment where each student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

To meet the needs of your child from the very beginning of the school year, I would greatly appreciate any information you can provide about your child.
