You are being invited to participate in a study about important community needs and desires as it related to future elected leadership. The objective of this research project is to attempt to Give Voice to the Residents of Northwest Corridor (NWC) for the 2013 election. Northwest Corridor INDABA (a meeting of representatives from neighborhoods, businesses, and civic organizations located in the Northwest Corridor) and Johnson C. Smith University (JCSU) have partnered to put you in the driver’s seat in recruiting our future leaders. Please read the informed consent information below.
Purpose of the study: To survey community opinion by providing residents an opportunity To Give Voice to the Residents of Northwest Corridor (NWC) for the upcoming 2013 election.
What you will do in this research: If you decide to participate, you will complete one survey. Some of the questions will be about needs of residents of their representative neighborhoods and desires in their future elected community leaders.Others will be about basic demographics of the community.
Time required: The survey will take approximately no more 5-10 minutes to complete.
Risks: There are no known risks if you decide to participate in this public opinion study, nor are there any costs for participating in the study.
Benefits: There are no direct benefits, but you may find it interesting to consider your responses to questions about community needs and desires for the present and future.
Confidentiality: Your responses will be kept anonymous. When research results are reported, responses will be aggregated (added together) and described in summary. Note no personal information will be shared or used.
Participation and withdrawal: Your participation is completely voluntary, and you may refuse to participate without penalty or loss of benefit to which you may otherwise be entitled. You may quit at any time without penalty or loss of benefit to which you may otherwise be entitled. You may also skip any question, but continue to complete the rest of the survey.
