1) Follow the City’s Complete Streets Policy on ALL transportation infrastructure and policy projects, from the simplest repaving or street repair to the Comprehensive Plan.  

2) Implement basic safety improvements to ALL existing crosswalks in Medford by the end of 2022.  

3) Prioritize planning for safe walking and biking routes to schools, parks and recreational facilities to keep our children safe.  

4) Plan and implement innovative, tactical, low-cost pedestrian safety improvements at high-priority locations.  

5) Overcome institutional inertia at the Department of Conservation and Recreation to improve safety on DCR’s parkways in Medford.  

6) Plan for walk access to the new Green Line Extension stations that will serve Medford.  

7) Plan for and implement walking wayfinding signs.

8) Fund and prioritize implementation of the Pedestrian Accessibility Study recommendations from June 2021.  

9) Keep walkways clear of ice and snow in the winter.
