The Fossil Free Canada Convergence taking place November 7th-9th, 2014 in Montréal, Québec is aiming to bring together students working on fossil fuel divestment campaigns all across the country to train, connect, and take the national movement we are building to the next level.

We're inviting you to sign up to run a workshop, be on a panel, or help facilitate a break-out or planning session.

The workshops and panels are intended to give participants the skills and knowledge to step into roles as strategizers, trainers, spokespeople, action organizers, facilitators and more. All sessions should be presented with a strong understanding of climate justice and anti-oppression.

Please ensure the content of your workshop or panel will apply directly to fossil fuel divestment organizing or how divestment can create ties to the broader climate justice movement.

Please note that this convergence is small when compared with other conferences and events hosted by the Canadian Youth Climate Coalition, including PowerShift. Therefore we will only be accepting a limited number of workshops.

All presenters, panelists, and facilitators must be willing to communicate with the conference organizers in the lead-up to the Fossil Fuel Divestment Convergence to make sure that the content is in line with the goals and outcomes, to answer questions and to ensure that all the different workshops come together to make a coherent and productive curriculum.

By filling in this form you are committing to be in Montreal for some or all of the weekend of November 7th-9th.

The Canadian Youth Climate Coalition has a limited budget for covering honorariums and travel costs. We cannot cover the costs of all travel or provide significant honorariums for all presenters/facilitators but will do our best to ensure needs are met.
