Climate Clock is a U.S. based non-profit organization with a global network of activists, experts, and solutions-ambassadors, united by a common vision: to get the world to #ActInTime on climate. The Clock’s "deadline" helps all climate stakeholders sync up around the timeline science & justice demands, while its "lifelines" highlight key solution pathways for safeguarding a livable planet.
After the successful launch of several lifelines on renewable energy, indigenous sovereignty, loss & damage, gender parity, fossil fuel divestment, etc. the team is launching a lifeline advocating for "food systems' transformation for a climate-resilient and sustainable future" on World Soil Day (December 5, 2023). For this lifeline, our focus is regenerative agriculture which covers 1,013,455 hectares of global agriculture land in 2023, as per the lifeline's metric partner Regenagri.
Climate Clock is looking to appoint volunteer solutions-ambassadors for the lifeline. We invite our global community to nominate individual and institutional leaders who are transforming food systems across the world, especially leaders on regenerative agriculture. If you know someone who fits this description and could join Climate Clock in its mission, please fill out the form below. Self-nominations are most-welcome.
After an initial review of applications, we'll email the nominee to let them know they have been nominated as a potential leader/ambassador of the lifeline, and check if they accept the nomination. Next, we'll review the applications and select our top 5 individual and institutional leaders across the world.
We'll then email the winners who will receive a handheld action clock. As part of this award, the winners will be required to record a video on the importance of regenerative agriculture for transitioning to sustainable food systems. We'll then share the video with our global community to inspire and amplify climate solutions focusing on regenerative agriculture and climate-resilient food systems.
We invite you to be a part of the Climate Clock community 🧑🏽🌾🌾
