We are grateful that you are here.

The 1 Million Community Fruit Trees Initiative is a grassroots, collaborative effort of thousands of engaged Earth citizens to plant 1 million fruit and nut trees over the next decade!
We have created a decentralized system to empower individuals and communities to grow, distribute, plant and care for their own fruit and nut trees.

What involvement and support we are currently seeking:

Micro-Nursery Stewards. We are seeking people who would like to host and care for a Micro-Nursery. Please read our Micro-Nursery Stewardship Guide thoroughly if interested and fill out the form below.
Propagation Material Harvesting. We are seeking volunteers who would like to harvest seeds and cuttings in large quantity for us to plant in the Micro-Nurseries. Fill out the "Harvesting of Seeds and Cuttings" question below if you'd like to be involved in this way.
Tree Donations. Are you a nursery or independent grower who would like to share your trees with us to support this initiative? If so, fill out the "Existing Nurseries/Tree Growers" question below.
Volunteers who want to put in dedicated time with our organization. We are seeking volunteers to collect seeds and cuttings, plant trees, store and distribute seeds, handle admin and more. Fill out the "General Volunteer" question and any other relevant questions below if you'd like to be involved in this way.
Sponsors of Micro-Nurseries and funders for our program. We are seeking 20 Micro-Nursery sponsors to help us establish this program. We are seeking $1,000 per Micro-Nursery which will cover the costs of establishing a Micro-Nursery as well as some admin costs. For those that are open to shipping trees by mail, would you like to distribute trees to the Community Fruit Trees network? Our organization will assign your trees to recipients and send you information including addresses and how many trees to ship.

Harvesting of Seeds and Cuttings:

We are seeking volunteers to harvest seeds and cuttings. If you are interested in being involved in this way, please let us know here.

We welcome you to let us know which seeds and cuttings that you have access to and an idea of quantities.

Seed Storage or Distribution:

We may be storing large quantities of seeds through the winter. These would be stored in refrigerators or 5-gallon buckets in a garage or outside, depending on the seed type and climate.

We may also be seeking support of someone who would like to mail seeds to recipients.

General Volunteering:

Are you interested in volunteering with our organization? If so, please let us know what you’d be excited to do, what relevant experience you have, where you live and approximately how many hours per week/month you have available. Please make sure to fill out your phone number above.

Would you like to sponsor a Micro-Nursery? We are seeking sponsors of $1,000 per Micro-Nursery which will produce 1,000 trees yearly.
