Sibyls Shrine Partnership Organizations
Sibyls Shrine is an art collective and residency program rooted in radical care, rest and support for Black artists who m/other in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania— and beyond. By providing opportunities to rest, unrestricted financial support, career development, skill-sharing, access to arts and cultural institutions, free classes and workshops, exhibition and panel opportunities, support for self care, childcare and other daily needs, Sibyls Shrine has created a framework that directly addresses this intersectionality and many of the systemic and structural factors that oppress Black womxn and Black artists.  

With the help of organizational partners like you, Sibyls Shrine has supported over 250 Black m/others artists with unrestricted financial support, career and professional development childcare, free classes and workshops, and exhibition, program and panel opportunities. If we continue moving forward with the same momentum, by the year 2024, we anticipate that we will have served over 1500+ Black m/others. 

Our current organizational partners: The Office for Public Art provides additional support as the Sibyls Shrine collaborating organization. Working mothers make up the entirety of the project team. The Mattress Factory Silver Eye Center for Photography Artist Image Resource, Inc. Pittsburgh Glass Center The Union Project Pittsburgh Playhouse Carnegie Mellon University Entertainment Technology Center

Each organizational partners determines what our unique partnership looks like. For example, a partnership with one organization might include in-kind lodging space, teaching opportunities, and space and fabrication support for an annual six-month exhibition. Another partner might be able to offer access to their print lab, tech and facility. Another might offer free admission/tuition to a specific class, event or workshop.
