This program will pair journalism students and journalists at all career levels looking for media jobs with a mentor who will provide virtual or in-person feedback on their resumes + portfolios.
Mentees: College journalism students, recent graduates and journalists at any career level seeking work. People from Latino/a/x backgrounds who are based in New England are especially encouraged to apply. NAHJ New England also supports journalists from all marginalized backgrounds.
Mentors: We seek mentors with recent professional journalism experience. Each mentor is expected to meet virtually with the mentee for at least 30 minutes to provide advice on how they can present their best professional selves (plus other tips and encouragement for their job search).
The application deadline is June 5, 2024. We expect to announce mentor-mentee "matches" shortly after.
