Global Student Challenge is an annual competition run by the Chartered Institute of Building that provides built environment students with an opportunity to apply their learning to a real-world scenario of running their own virtual construction company.
You will be in a team of 4 academic exemplar students and mentored by an industry leader to build your virtual construction company into the finals.
There are a total of 5 teams representing UTS.
As well as gaining real life knowledge and decision making to your own virtual construction company, this competition is an elective in the BPCM course.
Due to limited numbers, students registering interest must meet these minimum requirements:
- Minimum WAM of 74 and a Minimum of 96 credit points completed (inclusive of Spring 2021).
- Commitment – Minimum 4-6hours per week from 15/01/2022 - 03/06/2022
- Attitude and Mindset - Collaborative, motivating, open-minded, critical thinker
- Demonstrable teamwork skills in and outside the university(this is to encourage high performing groups who have worked together successfully through the course to participate)
- Passion for and knowledge of the construction industry
