Schedule(All times in PST):
November 5th:
9:00-9:30 AM: Opening Ceremony
9:30-10:45 AM: Test
10:45-11:00 AM: Break
11:00-11:30 AM: Closing Ceremony (Awards announced)
Format:
The test will contain 25 multiple choice questions. You will have 75 minutes to complete the test.
Scoring:
Each correct answer is worth 1 point, and each incorrect or blank answer is worth 0 points (There is no penalty for guessing). There will also be a very slight weighting for each of the problems (harder questions have a higher weight). In the case of a tie, the time of submission will be used as the tiebreaker.
Rules:
- The contest will be held over Zoom, so all participants must have one device connected to the meeting room at all times, with a functional camera pointed at their workspace. The meeting will be recorded. If you do not have any devices capable of a camera function, please let us know via email.
- No calculators or other electronic assistance is allowed, but rulers and compasses are permitted. Anyone caught using an electronic device to cheat will disqualify themselves and may face a ban from all future STEMist competitions.
- During the test, participants may not talk or receive/give aid to any other people, even non-participants. Answers must come from each individual participant.
Registration ends November 3rd, 11:59 PM
