Please submit your essay in a Word document format or as a PDF file. The essay should be double-spaced and no more than 500 words.
Summit the following with the scholarship application:
- 2.5 grade point average (include high school or college transcript)
- Student applied, enrolled, and/or accepted in a 2/4 year college; or university
- Proof of residency in Prince George's County MD
- 3" x 5" photograph
- Photocopy of voter registration card, if applicable
Special Needs Applicants: (NO ESSAY REQUIRED)
Students with SPECIAL NEEDS include those with chronic illnesses, disabilities, mental health challenges, or any condition that requires additional health and related services beyond what's typically required by children and youth. They require health and related services of any type or amount beyond that which is required by children and youth, as defined by the Maternal and Child Health Bureau.
- Scholarship funds can be used for certification fees, tutors, therapies, transportation, any need support services needed to further education opportunities; as well as books, and tuition.
