For the short answers, formatting notes are provided below. For the long answers at the bottom, it is okay if your answer is “None” or “Not applicable.” This will not give you any disadvantage. We just would like to see a previous interest in aspects of our program. The students applying must be the ones to answer these questions.

A goal of the Girls of Steel program is to close the gap in gender inequality within STEM fields which means the gender balance at the camp will be at least 50% girls. For more information about Girls of Steel please see our website and Facebook page: <http://www.girlsofsteelrobotics.com/> and <https://www.facebook.com/girlsofsteelroboticsteam>.

There is a $150 fee payable* upon acceptance that will go toward materials and other camp expenses. Financial assistance is available if the student is eligible for free or reduced price lunch at their school.. Please provide documentation from your school upon acceptance into the camp.

Email will be our primary means of communication, so please include the email addresses that the parents/guardians check most often.

If you have any questions or concerns, please always contact <girlsofsteelroboticsFLL@gmail.com> for a response. For more information on FIRST programs, the website <http://www.usfirst.org/roboticsprograms/fll> can give you a good description, although always feel free to contact the Girls of Steel with any questions.
